Dripping slowly,
My outer shell starts to melt off.
What lies inside is just more layers of the same,
Waiting for a light to break them down.
Chills run down my back,
A shiver in my veins.
I feel solid as a rock,
Yet with the right warmth,
I can be revealed.
To go back to the state I once was in,
Where warmth and light came in abundance
Where I matched the ocean
Full of vast possibilities
So beautiful everyone wanted to see
Wanting to give love back to everyone that showed it me.
But that was then,
And this is now.
I sit
Each drop hitting the ground slower by the day
Working so hard to find that warmth again.
